Sunny Hunny: Sunny Hunny is the perennial breakfast spot in the Ortley, Seaside Heights area. Open from 6am-3pm, it is exclusively for breakfast and lunch. They offer a wide variety of traditional breakfast items in addition to more “fitness conscious” meals titled “Big Boy” and “Big Girl” breakfasts. Each of these includes egg whites and pancakes, the “Big Girl” breakfast’s pancakes are made with a scoop of whey protein. Having been there several times, I can honestly say this place is air tight when it comes to morning eats. The food is served quickly and with a smile by their youthful wait staff. The place also has people dressed up as Sesame Street characters to entertain the kids. They have great omelets and pancakes. I usually order two eggs over-easy, hash browns, sausage, and wheat toast with chocolate milk. It is a small place, but it’s a tiny breakfast spot so it’s not built for sit-in dining. You go there before you start your big day. As far as breakfast goes, this place is clutch.
