Seafood? More like suckfood.

Rockafella’s by the Sea Too: I had the chance to visit this establishment over Labor Day weekend. Let me just say, I was severely disappointed with my meal. I ate there with a few friends and had a chance to sample their dishes as well. Let me start by describing the place. It’s a very quaint, Italian restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is quite pleasant with blinds to block the sun from being to harsh. However, the outdoor seating tends to get loud as the restaurant sits on a major thoroughfare. The waitstaff were very nice, though I was promised a salad which I never got. I ordered the grilled mahi mahi with pineapple salsa and shrimp. Sounds delicious right? The salsa tasted great, as did the shrimp. The mahi mahi had no taste what so ever. It was like eating air. I understand that fish isn’t the most flavor-able of animals, but when cooked correctly, it can be delicious. A friend had flounder stuffed with spinach on a bed of rice covered in white sauce. The spinach was delicious, again you could not taste the fish. The white sauce did absolutely nothing. You may as well have put water on everything. Another friend ordered grilled chicken with gnocchi. That was actually good. Yet for a place to be a seafood restaurant, the chicken should not be a determining factor. All in all, pass on this place. The atmosphere is also very insular. I got the impression that if they don’t know you there, or you aren’t there with your whole family, they aren’t all together sure just why you came in the first place

Price: $$$ - expensive
