Dinner at Tiffany’s (Yeah, yeah, I know it’s lame)
Tiffany’s Casual Grill and Bar: Tiffany’s has six locations: Morris Plains, Union, Pinebrook, Toms River, Clinton, and Pequannock. I had a chance to go to the location on Toms River. The restaurant was very cozy, having a distinct bar side and restaurant side. This makes it a great location for drinks as you won’t be up against patrons whilst swigging back a few and trying to watch whatever applicable sport is playing on their plasma’s (like you would at, say, an Applebee’s). Their menu was quiet diverse, offering up various sandwiches, paninis, pasta dishes, sushi, steaks, and ribs. I was told that the ribs were outstanding. Being that racks of ribs were buy one get one free, the decision of what to eat was pretty much made for me. The ribs were excellent. Now, let me make this perfectly clear: this place is not some big Texas or even Kansas City style BBQ place. Excellent ribs at a BBQ place taste different then excellent ribs at a regular restaurant. What you have is the surprise factor: the fact that the ribs are great and it’s not a BBQ joint. These ribs were excellent. The meat fell off the bone, the sauce had terrific flavor that covered everything. Mine came with cornbread and a sweat potato, both of which were good as well, but were negligible. I am told their sushi and BBQ pork rolls are something to look forward too. Having downed one and a half full racks of ribs, I couldn’t sample anything else. All in all, it was a great grill and the bar doesn’t look bad either.
