Don’t call it a “hoagie”
The White House Sub Shop: Since 1946 the White House Sub Shop has graced Atlantic City with its presence. Judging from the inside décor they have done little to change since then. The place has been family owned since the start in 1946 and boasts to have sold over “25 million subs!” With how delicious these sandwiches are I wouldn’t be surprised if that number is approaching 50 million now. The White House keeps the formula very simple: the best quality meats and the freshest ingredients make for the best sandwiches. To start off with freshness The White House has its bread delivered multiple times a day from a bakery down the block. Giving the customer a roll that is probably never more than an hour or so old. The sandwiches aren’t skimpy at all. They are loaded with great quality meats and fresh toppings making these sandwiches a mouthful! The menu is like most sandwich shops with your basic hot and cold subs. I’ve had a few different hot sandwiches before there were great. But, my favorite will always be the White House Special which consists of Salami, Provolone, Ham, and Capicola throw on some lettuce, tomato, oil/vinegar and of course tons of hot and sweet peppers. Stuff all this into a fresh baked roll and you have yourself a meal fit for a king. A 3 block walk away from the casinos and you are in Sandwich heaven. So definitely check this place out next time you’re in Atlantic City.
