Hot time in NJ

Hot Tomato Italian Restaurant: This review is going to be as terse as the restaurant comes off, as it doesn’t need much to deliver it’s great food and service. This little mom and pop restaurant is sequestered in Toms River, NJ. It’s a quaint little place, sparsely decorated with the kind of bric-a-brac you would see around your grandmother’s house. It gives you a really “home-cooked meal” feeling. It’s a BYOB, which is always nice. The food was excellent, with generous portions served. I sampled the Penne Vodka, which was excellent. I also had fusilli with crumbled sausage, which was absolutely superb. They have different specials cooked fresh, they are written on a dry erase board that’s brought to your table when you first sit down. It’s a nice little place for quiet dinner with friends or to go to on a date.
