Where everyone knows your name?
Plank Road Inn: Growing up in Secaucus, NJ, I’ve had the liberty of spending many nights in the Plank Road from wing nights to dinners both drunk and sober. It’s a great place with a friendly atmosphere with no cheesy theme song like Cheers. Oh yeah, and it has great food. One hungry afternoon, a few friends and I ventured up for some beers and eats while watching some baseball. We weren’t going for anything special, just a couple of burgers and fries which is normal bar food. When I came to a stand still with the ordering, it was recommended I try their “Brooklyn Burger,” of which I knew nothing of but placed the order anyway. This delicious item was pretty much a double-decker turkey club except no turkey, a delicious burger in its place. I was in heaven after the first bite. The sandwich was served on toasted white bread and topped with cheddar cheese and Thousand Island dressing. It was a delightful change from the common patty and bun combo. Accompanied by some crisp fries and a cold beer what more could a man ask for? The Plank Road is the perfect place to enjoy a game, have a beer and eat some great food. If that’s not your cup of tea they have a different dinner menu cooked by Oscar(if you’re from the area you’ll know him) who is on point with all the meals he makes. If you’re strolling through Secaucus or happen to be in the area stop in for lunch or dinner, you won’t be disappointed. Price: $ - Cheap
