They serve the food on swords. Nuff said.
Plataforma Churrascaria Rodizio: If you’ve never had Rodizio, you need to get with it real quick. As defined by the all and powerful Wikipedia:
Rodízio (roo-DEE-zyoo or IPA: [xu’dʲizju]/ IPA: [xo’dʒizju] – BP – or [ʁu’dizju] – EP) is a style of restaurant service in Brazilian and Portuguese restaurants. One pays a fixed price (prix fixe) and the waiters bring an offering of food to each customer at several times throughout the meal, until the customers signify that they have had enough. In churrascarias servers come to the table with knives and a skewer, on which are speared various kinds of meat, most commonly local cuts of beef, pork, or chicken whereas in a Pizza rodizio varied pizzas are brought on trays.
Now that you know that’s what this place is all about, and it is amazing. They have a menu if you don’t want the Rodizio experience, in which case you lose. Good day sir!
In this place, you have unlimited access to the salad bar which has sushi, cold pasta, whitefish, and obviously different types of salad. The sushi was actually quite good. As for your meal, you recieve a menu with an option of sides. The sides were: fries, rice, mashed potatoes, fried bananas, and one other thing I don’t remember but was amazing and you have to get it. In fact, you can select them all. Which I did.
When it comes to the real dinner, you get a coaster in which one side is red and the other side is green. Need I say more?
The meat was superb. They came around with sirloin, prime rib, flank steak, pork tenderloin, beef ribs, chicken, pork sausage. It was delicious. I wanted to live there. The meat was seasoned just right. It was juicy and delicious. I’m salivating just thinking about it right now. You must go here immediately. It’s not too far from the times square and the theater district so you must go. It’s pricey but worth it. the Prix Fixe dinner was about $50 a person. However, be aware that sangria here is $40 a pitcher. And with all the meat and sides you’re going to need quit a bit of sangria or alcohol in general just to get buzzed, let alone thoroughly sauced. I would pregame. Just a tad. Let the meet bring you back down.
